St Peter's Brewery and Visitor Centre

The St. Peter's Brewery Group is based at St. Peter South Elmham, nr Bungay in north Suffolk. The brewery itself is housed in fine former agricultural buildings adjacent to St. Peter's Hall. Siting the brewery at St. Peter's was ideal because of the excellent water from our own deep bore-hole. Locally malted barley is used together with Kentish hops to produce a range of classic English cask-conditioned ales. In addition the company produces a range of superb bottled beers - our standard bottle is a 500ml copy of an original bottle circa 1770 from Philadelphia. More recently we have added a 355ml bottle size (12fl oz US) to our range. St. Peter's Hall is open as a unique bar and restaurant every Fri, Sat & Sun and each Bank Holiday Monday. Enjoy a tour of the Medieval Hall, which dates from 1280 and was extended in 1539 using 14th century 'architectural salvage'. Marvel at the fascinating features and history that the Hall offers including carvings on the front fa?ade and a tombstone in the entrance. The furniture and contents of St. Peter's Hall are mainly 17th and 18th century. Private parties are welcome at St. Peter's Hall during the week and tours of the brewery are available. Please contact the Manager of the Hall for full details of conferences, dinner parties, wedding ceromonies and receptions.
